Good to know

Do I need to register?

You must register once your taxable sales pass $30,000 in a single calendar quarter or over four consecutive calendar quarters. Below that you can register voluntarily, which lets you claim input tax credits.

How often do I file?

It depends on your annual taxable sales: annually up to $1.5 million, quarterly from $1.5 to $6 million, and monthly above that. Monthly and quarterly returns are due one month after the period ends.

I missed some returns. What now?

We can prepare the missing returns and bring your account up to date. Interest and penalties can apply to late returns and payments, so it's best to catch up early.
